Review of DStv Nigeria
DStv offers some of the best TV content in Nigeria—from live football and international news to documentaries, movies, and African Magic. The decoder is easy to use, and the HD channels give a premium viewing experience.
But to be honest, for the amount we pay monthly, the value doesn’t always add up. Too many channels are just repeats, and some stations feel like fillers. Also, when a subscription expires, reactivating can sometimes take too long, even after payment.
They’ve got the content people want, but DStv really needs to work on their pricing, repeat content, and response time. It’s still one of the better options out there, but not perfect.
Review of GOtv Nigeria
GOtv is a budget-friendly option for basic TV entertainment, and it offers a good range of local and family-friendly channels. However, the signal is very unstable, especially during bad weather. I've also experienced delays after subscription payments and slow customer support. It's okay for light viewing, but if you want consistency, GOtv can be quite frustrating
Review of 9mobile
I’ve been using 9mobile for a while now, and honestly, I’m very disappointed with their network quality. It’s just not reliable. Most times, the signal is either completely gone or too weak to load even a simple webpage—especially in places where other networks like MTN or Airtel work fine.
There are days I can’t make a clear call without the line breaking or cutting off, and using mobile data is another struggle. Even when I have full bars, browsing is super slow or doesn’t work at all. It's really frustrating when you’ve just subscribed to a data plan and can't even use it properly.
What makes it worse is that these issues have been going on for months without any real improvement. I’ve reached out to customer care a few times, but they only give generic responses like "we’re working on it"—nothing ever changes.
If you're looking for reliable internet or call quality, 9mobile is honestly not the best option right now. They really need to invest in improving their network coverage and stability.
Review of First Bank of Nigeria
The FirstMobile app by FirstBank has served me well for traditional banking needs like transfers, account balance checks, and airtime purchases. It's a reliable app when it works, but it often feels sluggish and sometimes gets stuck at the login stage—especially when the server is down.
I’ve had times when I couldn’t make urgent transfers because the app kept showing “Network Error” even though my internet was fine. What I like, however, is that once it’s working, transactions are safe and usually confirmed immediately.
